Since SFR isnt a member of this forum, I though to start an official interest thread for them. SFR will be in Canada for a Genesis reflash event, but SFR has stated that they will be able to tune the Veloster too. There are a bunch of Gen on the list already, so adding some VTs shouldnt be a problem.

Add your name to the list and we can forward the info to SFR. Once the tune info is "officially released", they typically ask for a $50 deposit paid through PayPal. This will hold your spot and you can pick a day and time to get your tune.

Aug 3-4 at Nextmod in Toronto Ontario, which is also an authorized SFR shop.

How much it cost beside the $50 deposit?

Prob in the $450 USD range total. Thats what their canned tunes typically cost.

I imagine people will jump on this once the first batch of tunes get done and we get feedback. I am waiting to see the numbers and hear reviews. If everything is good (ie. no codes) I may sign up for this, but I will most likely want a new ECU just to be safe, not sure when they will be ready.

Those will probably come later this month when the have the meets in Cali and NY first. Im hoping with SFR having their own VT to R&D with, that the bugs will be worked out.

Even if you're not interested in a tune, its still a great opportunity to see how its done and talk to Genesis owmers that have had the tunes for years.

BTR is also having a meet later this month and Im guessing they will be offering their tunes too.

Aug. 3 - Custom Tune @ APH >> DYNO $100/Hour
Aug. 4 - Staged Tunes @ (TBA) prob Nextmod

Veloster & Sonata are also available!

Well, this meet was pretty good. There were 3-4 Velosters, 2-3 Sonatas and a bunch of Gen Coupes over the course of 2 days. No issues with anyone's cars and everyone was happy.

So, there is another event in the planning stages if anyone is interested. Probably going to be October. Jay himself is coming again and will be offering custom and canned tunes and ECUs.

So we are shooting for Oct 12-13. Advanced Powerhouse for the dyno tunes and Nextmod for the canned and/or meet.
