Any idea if they have tracked a car yet with the flash? Would be great to see 1/4 mile times from the flash.

call em...
Mine is being done next weekend. Bone stock, so it will give us a good idea of the basic numbers. PayPal and shipping address is on the FB and website. Basic reflash should be about $450 and a new pre flashed ECU about $750. Prices are the same for most cars the offer tunes for.

Just a flash and no dyno time?
So a canned tune doesn't need to be dynoed?
Mtd ur VT or Genny is getting tuned?

canned tune is pre-tuned with AFR, timing, tweaks, etc. that should work with everyone and is typically a little less aggressive than a dyno tune.

However, I don't think they will initially have custom canned tunes available. I will be going with BTR and they said they should have their canned tunes up in about two weeks.
Also the canned tune is typically the first version of the dyno tune. They install v1.0, make a pull, read, v1.1: pull, read, v1.2 etc, etc... Buy the can and get v1.0 and call it a day.

Well I Duno. Tunes are new to me. They always say canned tune $450 plus dyno time so it's confusing lol

If you are AT an event and buy a canned tune, install it and then want to make some pulls on the dyno, then it would be a dyno charge. May as well go custom and get the pulls and best tune possible. If you are unable to go to a tuning event, then canned tune is shipped, you install it like you would a CAI or any other mod and off you go...

Wouldn't there be an exchange of the ECU's or a core charge....something like that?

What if, after buying a canned tune you decide to go to an event to have the tune tweaked further. Would it still only be dyno time?

Typically, no. The tuner usually does not own the Dyno. You need to pay the host for the dyno, and the tuner for the tune. Nobody does nothing for free.

NEED A LINK! Lmao!
SFR was supposed to release all info yesterday but didn't...now they say sometime today...
A dyno is typically done by some people with a canned tune just to see the before and after #'s, but its not necessary. The cost really depends on the dyno shop and it goes to them, not the tuner. The place SFR uses at their Toronto events charges $100/hr I believe. Canned tuned is good for a stock or lightly modded (intake, catback, BOV). Custom tune is better for more extensive mods (bigger turbo, fuel injectors, down/race pipe, intercooler) and requires a dyno.

I just sent SFR my deposit for my reflash for next weekend.

BTRs tunes seem to be a bit more aggressive and they really crank out some nice numbers. Ive found they really push the custom tunes even though they are (IMO) unnecessary on a lightly modded car. I just have dealt with SFR before and I find their customer service better. They have been tuning Hyundais longer, so I stick with them. I also dont know anyone who has had any serious issues after and tune, but I know 2 Genesis owners with bricked BTR ECUs.
