Weighted Ball with spring and lockout to replace the OEM 2013+(with short shifter) also fits 2014-2016 oem manual models & most short shifters

If you have a 2013 with a SQUARE lockout you must have either upgraded to a short shifter to use this product.

Extremely crafted with a beautiful finish.

Price is great. I paid 94$ for my BFI shift knob in my Jetta. But it showed up messed up and I had to wait weeks. I plan on getting one soon.

Other than looks, what does this improve for my VT Rally?
Having a weighted shift knob makes a huge difference for how the gearbox feels. I didn't like how the stock knob felt, and it feels like you have to really jam it into gear. I purchased a TWM weighted shift knob and the difference is huge. Right now it shifts into gear like butter, with the most satisfying click when it goes in. You can also shift much faster!

Highly recommended for any weighted knob

Anyone know how to remove the reverse lock??
IIRC there is a roll pin, punch it out and then the piece will slide up and off after you remove the knob. if you remove the boot its pretty self explanatory....

what kind of material are these knobs made out of? my aluminum knob is really burning in the florida heat, even with a windshield shade up

I currently have a B&M short shifter in the car.. I also have a 2013 stock shifter assembly sitting on my bench to test this knob.. Im going to see if i can make it work with the reverse lock out off the 2013.. The only thing i dont have is the Shift knob and boot as i threw them away..

I do know the stock boot off a 2013 can be reused, takes a bit of patience to get it off.. Or you can order one from a member on the boards (Forgot who it was? anyone?)

With the B&M im thinking you can reuse the piece that you pull up as it looks very similar to the ones pictured here.. If not ill try to get a tutorial of how to change it... That little roll pin is a pain.

The knob itself is 4.9 oz. I forgot to weight the lock out out
that's 139 grams, is that really considered a weighted shift knob then? the ones i shopped for were around 400grams - 600+ grams
