I was going to have a whack at this myself, but could not find anyone with jack and stands that I needed. So I took it to who is now my "aftermarket guy" for installation. I had it done at Harper's Tire in NW Calgary. They got me in the day after I asked them for an appointment, only charged me 1 hour of shop time when I know they were at it for and hour and a half, and they did a great job. Any future work that is out of my depth (like springs) I'll be taking to them.

The kit sounds fantastic. I went with the resonator instead of the straight pipe and I'm glad I did. The sound with the resonator is just right. 4 db more (which is what the straight pipe is supposed to add) would be too much. 10 db is double the volume (logarithmic scale eh) so 4 is almost 1.5 times. The sound and volume right now is just right. Sounds fierce when you're on the gas and nice and quiet at idle or cruising speeds.

A fantastic upgrade to any Veloster, I'd highly recommend it. Total price $730 plus 5% tax for the kit, $125 plus 5% tax for the install. Worth every penny.

Video with nice sound:

Cheers!

If you dont already have a CAI, get one..
After my solo I got a Turbosocks special, and dayum does it make that solo sound more aggressive, but not obnoxious.

Honestly cant believe you paid for the install, that was probably the easiest part I've put on a car.

I tried to borrow a floor jack and stands but couldn't make the connection. My CAI is on order (Injen) gonna be a couple of weeks more according to T-DOT, GRRRR.

What tips did you go with?
None yet, I didn't do my homework and did not realize I would have a gap. Any suggestions??

that sounds pretty awesome, that is the first thing im buying when i get back from my "vacation" to the middle east. was it easy to install? im still learning to tune cars, im a 100% noob.
I could not borrow the jack/stands to install it myself. Cost me $125 for 1 hour shop time. There is an excellent post on here walking through the install process. It would appear to be something that most people should be able to pull off.
