So it looks like they are doing some R&D for a high flow cat. I think they will be bringing a car in next week Wednesday.

I'm weary of messing with cats because of emissions etc. Im wondering what everyone's opinion is on this and what kind of interest there would be for this product.

I'm getting one from Pierce and I think his are selling pretty well, so I would think that the interest is high. I'm holding onto my stock DP as a security blanket though. If the need should arise, I'll just put it back on.

The cats that Solo sell to the Camaro, Charger, etc applications a very very popular and high quality pieces. I would imagine that whatever they come up with for the VT would be equally as good.

I am sure they would be nice. But seeing that pierce makes a 3" downpipe high flow car AND a catless version already, it would be a pick your poison decision.

I know I am getting my 3" (in/out) catless downpipe from pierce anyways so it wouldn't effect me about solo's high flow cat.

I guess it would benefit someone who doesn't have a solo exhaust kit yet seeing they have the option for them just to throw it in the shipping box. But since I already have mines, I will pick up my catless dp from pierce when I get my braces from him also.

I have looked at the stock DP and it looks so far hidden that it'd be a very difficult install. Anybody out there already install one w just basic ramps and tools? I may go with Pierce Motorsports catless.

There's no question that the solo product will be top quality.

Since they used my car for the cat back they will probably want to use it as a test again for the HFC.

I'm on the fence about if I should do it or not. It's a daily driver and after 4 years when I have to emission the car my concern is will it pass or not.

Also don't want to mess things up with warranty, CEL etc

It looked like they were using someone else on the ***** forums when I saw the thread yesterday.

They are. But they always try to test on multiple cars when ever possible. The owner of solo live like 15 mins from me. Plus we have the base and cat back dyno numbers on my car already.

I am looking into SOLO for my choice of Exhaust.. Not to sure about the kits and everything. Any help? I live in a state that does not have inspections or emissions. i was going to order the 3" cat back from solo but now this thread pops up. should i get a high-flow cat or just go straight pipe? while i am installing that should i also be looking into a down pipe at the same time to just knock it all out at once? Projected time for all this is July when i come home from my vacation. Sorry i am new to the performance side of things. I just bought this VT. thank you all for your time and help. Jason

The more the marrier I say. Competition breeds improvement.

Your car is a '13, you wont need an e-test until 2020.

My experience dealing with Solo, they typically use several vehicles to test their parts on. Auto and mt and for fitment on a few other vehicles just to test the jigs.

I thought emissions had to be done on 4 year old cars?

I am sure the exhaust is easy enough to install with said tools you mentioned. But I don't know about the dp. Regardless I am getting my done at am exhaust shop and I am sure once they got the vt on the lift they can reach everything they need with ease. that is how I am going to get them all installed.

If you live in a state that doesn't have inspections or emissions then I'd just go with a catless dp and use the proper o2 tricks to offset the cel.

I'd do the whole thing all in one. I am not going to install my solo exhaust kit until I get pierces 3" catless downpipe so I can do it all at once. NO point in doing all that twice.

If I went magnaflow I would for sure go with Pierces DP, but if I go SOLO (which I am sure I will) I will most likely get the SOLO DP, simply based on the fact that I like to keep matching brands on matched pieces. and I will be buying all my chassis support from Pierce at some point lol

I would have gone for the Solo if I didn't get the Magnaflow catback for 450$ shipped :p The solo sounds like pure SEX!!!
