One word.... loud.


Just installed the Pierce Motorsport high-flow catted downpipe. Coupled with the SOLO cat back (straight pipe) its freaking loud as hell at 4-5k. Startup has a bit more growl to it. Cruise speeds are just a tad louder and deeper but holy crap its loud as #### when you get on it. Going to have to be a bit more curious around neighbor hoods and when i've got other people in the car. Seriously contemplating if i should switch the straight pipe with the resonator. Not sure how much difference that'll make.

I'm actually felling a nice kick at low and high RPMs. Flow is definitely increased. Its not an obnoxious loud (unless i just keep it pressed down) but its a very aggressive (move outta the way) loud. Interested to see how it performs on a longer more sprited drive. Build quality is solid as can be expected from a Pierce Motorsport product.

I have the solo exhaust too with Pierce catless 3 inch DP and I can tell you that it keep getting quietter and sounded a lot better after some time

Yeah the muffler is part of the solo system. I'll try and get something posted soon.

You know, if you decide its too loud for you, I'd be happy to take it off your hands lol
But I'm sure, its performance over its sound would keep you happy with it and unwilling to part with it

Yeah the main reason i got it was because of the added performance. According to Pierce, a good exhaust and the downpipe will net around 20-25 horse power. Pretty good for some bolt on piping.

My Injen SRI would sometimes over power the solo exhaust on certain pulls but now with the downpipe.... the car just roars and you can hardly hear the SRI. Hopefully I can get a sound clip soon.

can't wait to hear a video ! I have the solo performance exhaust with the resonator on and so I'm sure my car will sound a bit quieter, but I do want the highflow cat converter downpipe not the catless so I'm very curious to see how this sounds.

Pretty happy with the gas milage i'm getting with this setup.

As long as I don't ride the car I've been seeing a good 3-5 mile increase.

I noticed a decrease in mpg after I took the exhaust and DP off...give it back! Lol, j/k...glad to see you're enjoying it.

I too just installed the Solo exhaust, but i could not make the resonator fit the piping, it didnt seem to be belled properly, so im running with the straight pipe.

It is immensely louder than stock.

My CAI is coming next week, and some strut bars after that. Looking to squeeze some more performance out of her yet. Can anyone link me towards good tuning options?

With that setup... good luck. The downpipe really opens it up and you can hear it loud and clear.

The Mach resonator is what comes with the kit. I had them replace it with the Quiet resonator. They go by QR & MR on their website. The QR has a 6% loss in flow over a free flow res but a 25-40% reduction in noise depending on what length you get.

I didn't specify length when I ordered, only my wish for it to be quieter then their current setup. I figured that they would provide the length that they deemed appropriate. There is either 17 3/4" or 22" in the 3" diameter.
