Actually your car is already tuned to US specs if we go by dyno numbers. Most dynos show the US VT to be putting out 180ish hp and 210ish tq.

The european VT is rated at 186/195 and I bet if the EU VT was dynoed it would show the same or close to the same numbers.

I believe the US VT stated 201hp was put there because we "Mericuns" dont believe in hp being lower than tq. In essence both the EU VT and the US VT are already putting up identical numbers.

Hi!, Do you know something?.

Best regards..
Hi, i also have the european VT. And i am having some research on this now..

I ordered a genuine Korean ECU (201 hp specs) and i installed it on my Euro VT. The car runs ok but i got a CEL (code) which is related to fuel emmisions etc which is not something to worry (as someone from Australia told me he had same cel due to country emmision regulations).

From the first time i drove the car it felt very different;. the power delivery is changed a lot compared to the european. With the european ECU i had more torque /power from lower rpms! which is something i prefer and i was a bit dissapointed with the new ECU. But after 2500rpms the korean ecu delivers power until redline which is better than the european.
I believe the power is the same but it is up to your taste if you prefer to have it from low end or change gear and get the power at higher RPMS!

One other thing i noticed is that with the European ECU, the resonator delete pipe HAS to be on the car because it gives low end power and if you remove it you will lose low end power and will not get any on higher rpms so you loose power.

Note: i ordered the korean ecu in order to send it to tork (maybe) or a tuner in USA to have it re-tuned (as we dont have so much experience in my country on VTs).

I would be glad to hear what other european members did with their ECUs

There is different tunes in the euro one compared to the north american ecu, so it is not a matter of just rating them different.
