So my Hyundai brace finally arrived. Apparently the part had been "reengineered" so it took a bit longer (4 weeks total) to get in. Oh well, it was a freebie for a referral - and even though my dad (the person I referred) decided to postpone his purchase, the salesman came through and gave it to me anyway.

I also installed the Import Shark (the customer is our chum) trunk brace and an under brace (just behind the cat).

Haven't had a ride yet but hoping that things will stiffen up a bit.

Trunk brace - bolts in with the child seat tie down bolts - removed the tie downs to make it flat...

Under brace - bolts in just behind the cat using existing chassis bolts...

The "newly reengineered" Hyundai front tower strut bar - made in Australia - or at least part of it was OH and you can flip the bar over and have the same information etched into the bar in French!

I think overall there is less flexing in the corners. I added all 3 at once and they are over the front towers, pretty much in the middle on the bottom then in the trunk almost over the rear tires. For the price I think it was worth it and they were very simple to install.

bigt182 I don't see a part number. In the dealer pamphlet I got for the Veloster, page 17 - Accessories - It's just in there with things like the block heater, mud gards, mats, etc. and it's called a Front Strut Bar. Was $185 is memory serves, but it was re-engineered so it may have been re-priced too. Just call your salesman he should be able to figure it out for you, although when I mentioned it before people suggested selling the Hyundai bar and getting one from one of the forum's vendors...
