Hyundai Canada revealed pricing on its Veloster Turbo model Monday.
MSRP for the manual model is $25,999 while the automatic will go for $27,249. Matte Grey paint will cost an additional $1,000.
Adding freight, delivery, fees and taxes (in Ontario) pushes the manual turbo over $31,000 — well into the territory of a pre-owned BMW 3 Series, Infiniti G37 or Audi A3.
In Canada, the Veloster Turbo will come in one trim level, containing all the equipment from the N/A V Tech Package and adds Turbo equipment – projector lights with LED accents, leather seats, body kit, etc.
The regular Veloster also receives pricing and other changes for 2013. Canadian Veloster pricing is as follows:
Base 6MT – $19,499
Base 6DCT – $20,899
Tech 6MT – $22,999
Tech 6DCT – $24,399

Other changes include a redesign of the front steering knuckle, resulting in the brake caliper being moved to the other side of the disc. Rear parking sensors have been added as standard equipment across all Veloster models. The engine on DCT models has been re-tuned to deliver more low-end torque. The output of DCT-equipped cars has been revised to 132 horsepower and 120 lb.-ft. of torque. While the peak numbers are slightly lower, the car will now offer better performance in the bottom end of the rev range.

31,000? Hyundai you kill me! I guess I won't be buying a car this summer. I'll wait till the 2013 base and redesigned mazda 3 comes out.
