So I have three speakers on backorder from Hyundai. I spoke to the dealership today and he said they have had so many issues that they can't imagine Hyundai will keep replacing our speakers with the same kind. Fairly interesting I think. Do you guys this there will be a recall? I have the upgraded sound system FYI.

True, but I've worked in the stereo industry long enough to know that randomly blown speakers are generally a result of overdriving not a short. It seems that these speakers cant handle what's being pushed through them. So to keep replacing them doesn't do anything to resolve the issue. I think members on here who replaced their stock speakers didn't have issues with blowing the aftermarkets so it kind of rules out wiring.

So my passenger side rear speaker started making a distortion every time the bass would hit. Obviously i know the speaker is shot iv installed plenty of systems. So i told the dealer and they ordered me a new 1 after checking it out them selves (being installed on thursday). So on my way home from the dealer everything was working fine ( except the blown speaker ). Went out again to the movies and the damn front passenger speaker started doing the same thing as the rear.. I think im just going to upgrade all of them. Im not dealing wit going back and forth to the deal. Waste of a 45 min drive. -__-. Whats a good brand to get. I saw some ppl used Polk Audio and Infinity. Any other ones out there?

Here in NJ (I am here over break), there are no problems like this so far that the dealers had to deal with. (no pun intended) I think I am the first one with the problem here. I am bringing in my car for 'inspection' from the dealers on Monday morning. Wish me luck... I have just under 12k miles so I can milk that 1yr/12k mile full coverage. Also, the sound is from the passenger side as well. I suppose its a similar problem all around.

Just upgrade, not worth the aggravation. I went through the same nonsense and after 2 dealer visits I ripped them out. I never even had my volume above 20 since I mostly listen to talk radio. Now I crank it everyday with a smile on my face. I still have the stock sub and center channel speakers.

3 months after I got the car my drivers side speaker went down, went to the dealer and replaced it without a problem. About 1 month ago my passenger speaker went down and got it replaced yesterday.

Hurray for great Hyundai service... Are our stock speakers not any good?

My speakers are still going strong after a year of ownership. What volume are you guys listening at lol?
I listen to mine very loud, quite often and havent had a problem, after saying that they will probably blow on the way home haha
I got my car a year ago also, could it be build date related?

I usually tear out all the stock stuff immediately when I get a new car, but performance mods have kinda put audio on the backburner for now and the stock system is ok so far.

This is sort of what I'm wondering. I listen to lots of music (Rap, Rock, Techno / DubStep, HipHop.... the list goes on. Pretty much anything but Country.) and probably 50% of the time I'm cruising with the windows down and have the volume set at 25-30. I've never had any issues with the dimension system in either V that I've owned. Granted, I don't have the bass adjustment touched at all because I have subs to make up for that. I have the mid set at +2 and the highs at +1. Don't get me wrong, if the Dimension Speakers ever go bad I'm going to replace them with Infinity Reference series, but I just cant seem to hurt them. Lol.

This would be a year today i have had mine and i like the sound system, granted i have my speakers up 25-28 with the bass at t7 and the mids and hi's on 8 it beats for only 400 watts. I could use a little more bass but that will be fixed also
