These things always are freaking me out. I think there is something wrong with them :p

I tried cleaning them off but almost every day they start beeping when I am backing up like I am getting close to something and nothing is to be found o_O

Does this happen to anyone else?

nope. mine dont beep until I am 4-5 ft away, but its a slow beep gets faster and the disply on the dash is failry accurate. I tested mine out seeing how close 5 bars were, and what that looked like on the back up camera. DId that for all the bars until 1 bar was flashing. Even at that pont there was till a good foot of room. lol

It happens to me once in a while. I have noticed it usually happens when it has rained and the car is wet. I guess a drop of water creeps onto the sensor and it sets it off. HOWEVER, it has happened when there is no water around for miles LOL...but usually they work great.

Mine beeps inside the garage but that's because of the far right and left sensors thinking that I'm going hit the edge of the garage at both sides but there's enough space for me to go through, once my rear is outside the door I'm all gooood.

I always back into spaces with the backup camera. The sensors detect the curb at my apartment complex. Once I get the red line close to the curb the beeping stops. I think they might be a bit too sensitive, especially if they are alarming for a short curb.

Strange, i never had any type of issues w it. It does alarm u of any objects to the far left/right, and it beeps even if ur not really close to it, but that's it.
