Strange interest just an observation

I have owned well over 30 different models of cars ranging from Honda Accord to Ford F150 and have never had people come up to me to ask and check out my car. Considering all the bad press and car enthusiast hate of the vehicle I'm surprised by all the public interest. Personally I purchased the vehicle for value, gas mileage and esthetics. Up to 1 year ago I would of never considered the Hyundai product but due to the fact Hyundai considerably upped there game and quality it became a very viable option when considering my next vehicle. It's funny I had full intentions of purchasing the Sonata when i went to the showroom. When i saw the Veloster Turbo for the first time i fell in love with it, after the drive there was no questioning the purchase. Anyone else experiencing the public interest?

I had my Genesis for about 8 months and I've lost count of how many people would come up to me daily whether at a gas station or at a club and simply ask me about the car.

I kept her always squeaky clean and you can expect the same on my VT. I'm waiting for my friend to give me my SLR back so I can start to take pics with my VT but yeah I can tell you the Veloster Turbo breaks necks as much as my GenCoupe did. Matter fact, I think I broke this motorcyclists neck as I was turning and he was just gawking the car as it turned.

I can confirm that VW guys give me some hard looks. The little donut shop GTI/passat crew from around my way always stares when I drive by, but i dont rev like a douche or do burnouts or anything. Not gonna pick any fights lol.

I work at a big factory that is mostly full of domestics and pickups/SUVs and both of my Hyundais gets lots of attention. No one has any idea what the VT even is and most have heard about and seen older Genesis Coupes, but the '13s are rare around here.

I have opened the doors and shown off the VTs cool tech and 3rd door, people ask about the fuel economy and price. Most are surprised that its a Hyundai and that it also has a 200hp turbo motor. Lots of comments about the colour and overall styling of the car.

The Genesis gets the typical how much horsepower, how fast is it type of questions. I had a newer model Civic Si owner ask more detail questions and take a pic to show his wife. Last I spoke to him, he was going to trade his Si in for a 2.0T Genesis.

NoXide nice ride. I had a '10 2.0T before and I really liked it. I recently upgraded to a '13 3.8 though.

Blue exhaust tips, Factory? BTW very nice Gen.
The car was actually modified which is why you are not seeing the standard OEM exhaust. That was actually an INJEN exhaust which I was going to upgrade to the ARK GRiP v2. Whenever we start seeing parts being released from INJEN and ARK I'll be in a debate between the two because they are both great, I'll most likely go with the ARK because its a slightly a bit more loud and as a much more aggressive tone.

Those are really sweet cars and yeah I really like the 13' Genesis too. It sucks because when I was looking for another Genesis R-Spec Monaco White, there weren't any available and Hyundai's dilemma causing the production of cars to stop isn't helping.

YES, have had about 10 people hold a convo. about the car, Key points include:

-Looks like a space ship
-What year is that?!?!?
-They make a turbo??
-I love the exhaust tips! Reminds me of my bike.
-Is it fast?

At the gas station the other day some girl pulled up and asked to look inside :p

Have had some pretty flashy cars before (RX8 on Ferrari 2pc with CF hood+trunk Shinka Edition sitting on Tein supersports) but never had this much interest!
