Not sure if anyone has heard this. Randomly, lately, I get a sound that sounds like an 80's video game. Repeats three times and that's it. It's very strange. No idea what it could be.

also (this may have helped when I originally wrote this), the sound comes through the speakers. Whatever is playing on the radio stops and this noise comes through. I originally thought it was part of the 80's channel, but it played on another channel today too.

While I dont experience this Im curious as to whats causing it..

Is it similar to when you get a CDMA phone too close to an unshielded speaker while its processing data? almost like a digital dial-up sound

It's kind of hard to explain it without giving a sound clip. It's like 4 quick beeps, louder tones as they play. Then it's three times back to back to back.

I want to. I've tried. It's so quick there is no way to get my phone out and record quick enough.

sounds like your picking up cell data signal in the speakers. leave phone at home and then see if it happens. or you have FBI tracking your car .. are you mafia?

I had a strange sound coming from my speakers once... Then i realized it was Nicki Minaj... and changed the station

It's random and not very often. I have no idea when it's going to do it.

It's almost like the beginning of an 80's video game or the ending of a level.

Does it happen at 88 miles an hour? Might check your flux capacitor. Sounds like you are only getting sound from the. 80s.

In all seriousness I think it is your phone as well.

I've heard that sound a few times when getting close to a PC (comes out the PC speakers) with a cell phone in my pocket.
It has me a little worried tho, if it's radiating that kinda signal, what it's doing to the 'boys' if it's in my pocket :smile:

You have way more to worry about with the suns rays than a cell phone.
