I recently installed the synapse DV in my 2016 VT. It's installed in push mode with A and B Y'd together, then connecting to the same solenoid port that the oem BPV was connected to. Idle was rough and I was getting flutter, so I sealed the block off plate with gasket maker. Idle is still kind of rough, turbo flutters still and it threw a p2261 code this morning. It does hold boost, and gives a nice whistle sound. I'm not sure how to fix it, any advice here?

Have to be sure the install is correct and the BOV is setup correctly as well. This is not always just throwing parts on the car as delivered.

What do you mean? What else should I check? The charge pipe is on correctly, and the block off plate has no leaks. I've tried playing with the spring setting, but even with the screw fully loosened it doesn't seem like the bov is opening correctly.
Edit: Just went out to test different screw tightness settings, they don't seem to have any effect. The BOV is just permanently closed, never opens. It's either a problem with the bov itself, or the vacuum line coming from the solenoid. Is there a way I can test to see which it is? MAC solenoids are kind of expensive, I'd like to be sure that it'll fix the problem before I order one.

Issue is usually the BOV itself too stiff or not working properly, a leak, a kink line under vacuum, or somethingnot installed properly. Solenoid rarely fail. Upgrade Solenoid are not needed if all else is working properly. They can provide a larger margin for error though.

Adjust BOV/different spring, clean and oil bov properly, stronger vacuum source, different BOV.

So I took the bov off, and pushed it till it opened. It finally opened, looks like it was stuck for some reason (it was purchased new, unused for idk how long, and I bought it from the original buyer on kijiji). It opens smooth now, but 2 things: idle is kinda low, and it sounds like it lets off, closes, then lets off again when I rev it while it's stationary. I'm gonna play with the spring adjustment and re-tighten the cold pipe clamps, hopefully that fixes it?
Edit: Do I need to reset the ECU?
