There is a lot of claims of the diff being open in this car but we have not been able to get the car to "one wheel wonder" at the track yet. Has anyone confirmed that it doesn't have some sort of LSD or twin trunion cross shafts in the differential? If you take a corner hard and floor it the car still picks up speed as if the outside tire is trying to apply traction, the inside tire is spinning but there is still a felt effect of traction.
I guess going from the Dodge Dart as our last shop project to the VT makes a huge difference. The Dart would damn near come to a stop mid corner when the inside tire lost traction, the VT doesn't feel the same way.
At the drag strip, every time we leave the line it has two tire strips showing at the starting line. Every time we do a burnout, its both wheels spinning. If it doesn't have a LSD, I would be willing to bet it has twin cross shafts in the diff with 6 or 8 spider gears.
