So far I feel it's easier to take care of than regular paint. Keep the final finish in your car with a microfiber detail towel for spot cleanings.

Matte grey paint experience

Had my car last »Wednesday, Sept 12, I have washed and sealed it within 2 1/2 hours and really took it easy. If you need instructions get onto Dr. Beasley's site and view the videos. It could not be any easier. You can see the result on photo.

Make sure that your glass cleaner is ammonia free.

I put the paint sealant on a few weeks back and now I don't have to worry about it again until March. I keep the final finish in my car as well. It helps to get the bugs out of the front end.

+1 on the ammonia free. I have been using the Adams Glass Cleaner and it is working well for the moment.

can anyone in canada confirm if the canadian matte cars come with the cleaning kit? Im still waiting on my matt VT but my dealer says it doesnt come with the kit.

I have confirmed with my dealer that the Matte cars all come with the kit. They just did not receive them with my car... still waiting.

Supposed to come with a NEW kit, I read somewhere that someone picked up their car with half the kit used up.

mine was like nearly all used. they left a used mitt and some sealant (nearly empty) and a bunch of trash.

STILL trying to get the dealer to send me a new one. had been getting lied to by the dealer who sold me the car (no longer with the dealership)

at this point i dont even know what to do. theyve screwed up a ton of things with my purchase and thats the last thing im worried about at the moment.

Ive had no trouble with the paint so far.
Its been raining pretty consistantly in Toronto, Ont, Canada

lots of bird crap that just comes off with water and a microfibre

The one matte grey car I saw at a dealership had the kit in the back. It was opened but unused. The salesman said it was a fingerprint magnet in the showroom and they clean it almost daily - it was getting a lot of attention and people sitting in it every time I was there. Your dealer probably used the OEM kit for that.

I took my blue VT to a hand wash place that often has a lot of flashy rap star and professional athlete looking cars being detailed. Initially the guys were unfamiliar with the VT but when I picked it up the manager asked if this was the car that comes with a matte finish option. He went on to say that they wash several matte finish cars and had the special equipment and cleaners to handle the job properly. So you might want to look in to some of the hand wash places in your area. It may not be practical to use them all the time but you could see how people that wash matte Lamborghini's do it and what stuff they use.
