I might want to switch to a different color in maybe a year or two.
Is it possible to trade a leased car for the SAME car but different color?
Are there any options?

I don't think you can do that. You would need to pay the outstanding payments on the lease first, which is basically to turn in your current lease and get a new one. You can do that when you have 3 or less months left, and even then you will probably be charged part of the outstanding lease payments.

And when your lease is up and they ask, just tell them the color faded

DANG I wouldn't mind considering taking over your lease. I am sure you avoid a lot of fees and crap (though I never done a take over) but its A/T =/ You know I bet there is a website that can help you find someone to take over your lease.

You should have just leased the car for a shorter amount of time. Sure the payment may have been higher but I would imagine they would be less than the penalty fees you will pay to get out of your current lease early.

I saw some youtube videos of carbon fiber vinyl wrap and plastidipping.
I've got way too many questions for both of those and if I wanted to do it, I would want to do the WHOLE car.

So here is how to wrap your whole car in vinyl and/or mylar.

This is a 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia that ran LeMans with Patron livery but showed up at the Petit LeMans with Ultimat livery. It already has CF body panels but ran full decals for its new livery. It won the Petit LeMans in the GT class, and it looked amazing.
