Now available for the guys sticking with the stock intercooler but want an upgraded BOV on the elbow pipe is a block off plate for the stock flange.

You will basically remove the stock BOV and replace it with this plate.

These are very similar to the ones used on the srt4s and genesis coupes.

These plates are much cheaper and low quality ones available on eBay.

you can run any BOV on the tubing.. This will just block off the stock flange to allow you to do so.

Forgot to mention it comes with a gasket and the hardware! I meant to post it up yesterday but got busy in the yard and workin' on the house..

I used these ones I had made on my SRT-4 and sold a few to local friends and they always worked well!

Yep, looks like the one I had on my SRT-4 when I got the ED hard pipes with my HKS SSQV. I used a little Ultra Copper gasket maker, but if a gasket is supplied, even better! So, to ask a question, you wouldn't need hard pipes for the VT if you wanted to run an aftermarket BOV? Or would they still be necessary if you want to keep the stock FMIC and just get a different noise... If so, is this something you'd consider marketing as a VT specific kit? Sorry so wordy...

Well, here goes an answer.

There are a couple ways you can do a BOV on the VT..

They make adapters (from the genesis coupe) so you can adapt to a Tial or a HKS as well as the forge that bolts right on to replace the stock BOV. There is also the Boomba valve that will fit in the stock location.

The reason people may use the block off plate is if they wanted to upgrade to hard pipes and use a BOV on the hard pipe instead of in the stock location.

I would have to have someone verify if the HKS setup would work on the VT with an adapter. You would need to cut a hole in the bumper cover top for sure but someone would need to verify fitment of the hood closing.
