yup, i believe there is a break in period; at least in my experience. I put the torque solution bushings and they were very stiff at first, especially first gear, so much so that i made a post about that. Fast forward 30-40 min of driving later ,about a full commute to work, and it became buttery smooth now. best $30 i've spent lol.

The TWM bushings are self lubricating brass bushings. To my knowledge, I've never read anywhere that there is any kind of break in period for them. Did they install easily or did you have to force them onto the link ends?

I don't have the TWM's, but I do have the BPS versions. At first, it was like you described, hard and not very nice.
After some driving, they're perfectly snappy and awesome. They just take some time to work in.

For anyone who's looking to install these, I found using a set of channel locks helped in snapping them on to the links very easily.

I didn't remove my battery tray, as I did this at the same time I did my FMIC, so with the stock intercooler out, you have a straight shot to the links from the front.

In works great

Just from my own personal experience these bushings made no difference. I almost like the feel of the stock better but I'm too lazy to switch them back.
Man that sucks big time.

I was really looking forward to feeling a difference with them in.

Like from wiggly stick shift to solid stick shift.

Like going from playing with a arcade joy stick to sliding a bolt action forward on a rifle.

Well there seems to be more positive reviews than negative, so don't put all your weight on what I say. All I know is I never missed a shift before the bushings and have heard grinding three times in a few weeks with them. I really have to make sure its in gear now as before it seemed to go right in. I double checked my install and everything's in place. And btw I got both big and small bushings installed without removing the battery. The larger one is done by feel and not sight.

That is what o got out of mine. It's a world of difference. I actually have an extra set of bushings, but your end links would have to be checked to see what version they are. Both of then would have to be open ended style.
