Yes, we definitely have the TPMS - it alerted me to a slow leak from a screw embedded in my drivers side rear on Friday. I guess it's possible your tyre place could have transplanted the monitors for you - I discussed it with Bob Jane while they were doing the puncture repair for me, we were talking about Yokohamas when the Hankooks are slicks, $289 for 215/40/18 in A-drive R01's, and the potential to change rims and end up with a less expensive size... If they put new rims on a car with TPMS they keep the TPMS operative.

Crap yesterday when I got my new boots fitted the warning didn't go off but went for a run down the freeway today
Y and the light flashed and stayed on, what do I need to do to fix this shouldn't the tyre dealer have known about the system on the car.

You may also need to have them calibrated - which could be the issue that needs 'new' sensors, if they can only go to a certain pressure range. My Bob Jane contact tells me they're just swapped over in 60, maybe 70% of cases.
