I was looking at dead pedal info online and came across a genesis forum. They found that they could use one from a different car (don't remember what it was) that had the same pattern as our sport pedals. The pedal was a perfect fit and match except it was never offered for their car. I wanted to know what does it look like on the NAV or VT (assuming this would be the same) behind the carpet covering the dead pedal. I really like the looks of the sport pedals and would like to have a matching dead pedal. I will look again to see if I can find the sight with the genesis. It was probably a tiboran or a kia.

Nice to do, but I have the newest Premium All Weather Floor Liners from the dealer that cover the dead pedal area.

Yea I heard they covered it. I live in Texas and don't need the all weather. We have hot or rain. No snow here. I just want to know what the back of the carpet looks like and what the metal it rests on looks like. What is under the carpet.

I'm sure there are cheaper ones. But it would depend on which one we need based on what the sheet metal looks like behind the carpet.

The WeatherTech's cover 1/2-2/3 of the dead pedal. be interesting to see what the replacement looks like.

That would be good if I wanted the all weather covers. But I don't want the rubber mats. I want a dead pedal that matches my stock pedals. And to figure it out I wanted to know if anyone has been able to get behind the carpet to see what is there. Many of the Hyundai and Kia foot rests have things on the back that attach to the car. I wanted to know if our car does too. If it does than one of those foot rests may also fit.

So no one out there has pulled back the carpet to see what's there? I thought someone would have done sound insulation or something and had seen.

Under the dead pedal theres a block of foam. I have a billet dead pedal screwed in over the stock one from one of my mustangs that fit.

Foam? Wow. I thought there would be sheet metal. I tried once unsuccessfully and saw padding under carpet.
