Hey guys (and gals!), I picked up a VT about a week ago. Does anyone have any info on what upgrades/mods are doable without voiding the factory warranties?

I had an S2000 a few years ago that came with an extended warranty and when I had an issue, they tried to tell me putting slightly wider tires on the rear wheels voided my warranty. I haggled my way out of that issue, but I drove 6 hours to buy my VT because that specific dealer group includes a non-transferable 20yr/200k power train warranty in addition to the regular warranties, so I'm extremely conscious of not voiding these warranties.

That being said, I'd like to check into what mods I could do that wont void these warranties.

Any info is helpful. Thanks!

I came from an S2000 also. Any mod that causes an issue and it can be proven that its the mod then they can refuse to warranty. Read this

Dealers can't just revoke your warranty for having an aftermarket part. Honda rep tried that on me when I came in for routine maintenance. I got a lawyer involved and they fixed things pretty quick.

will a BOV void the warranty?
If they can find out the BOV was the issue for whatever went wrong, then yes.

If your radio were to stop working, and you have an aftermarket bov on it, then that would not void the warranty.
