So I was in a store today just browsing around and came across this neat little USB drive.

it's 16 gigs, and it was cheap like $14.... I figured what the hell I'll try it out. Going to put some of my music on there and leave it in my car. It's small enough that hopefully no one will notice it and try and break in (I hate NY). And now I'll just keep my phone plugged in to the outlet in the center console (charges faster for me this way)

I got one of them off ebay a while back for the car. It worked well but not nearly as accessible as an ipod so i just keep an older ipod in there.

If I had a driveway and didn't have to park on the street I'd leave my ipod in there but I wake up everyday and there's another car just sitting on cinder-blocks or a cpl of cars that get broken into.

I only need to worry about the coy-dogs, but I put a notch into the front edge of the 'mission plate' shelf and ran the iPod cable under the center console. That way the iPod is under the arm rest, but no cable in sight.

I use a mini USB flash in both cars. I just created empty folders for various artists, music types and playlist and filled the folders up. Works perfect and takes up zero space.

Tried it out on my Elantra and I like how fast it is when switching songs, hopefully the same on my VT when I get it back

I have the same flash drive phrozenghost, it works very well. And, use the same folder structure as MTD.

i have the Sandisk Cruzer Fit 32Gb, small and works with no issues on the car, slowest drive I have, though. Would not buy one for PC use.

I moved the usb drive from my rental to my mothers elantra and I gotta say, I was surprised when it started playing where I left off in the rental.
