I have been learning it and found it slow going. I have not found any type of formal doc for the app, however, I have learned to use the graphing function better.
tips based on my experience, and of course, purely subjective.
get a mount if you don't have one. it sucks grabbing my tablet from the passenger seat to see what it shows. Since I have to pick it up, I only look at stop lights.
re-size any gauges you use to be easily readable with a glance. I use needle gauges since they show a high and low point and set them to large since I use a tablet.
use a reduced number of gauges on a screen and group them based on sensor catagory. this will allow you to move between screens to see specific types of related data.
when graphing, keep in mind the number of data points you select and the logging interval. I have found a higher number of data points and a longer logging interval provides more easily interpreted results. I tried "when sensors refresh" and found I only got a short period of time graphed. I posted some graphs with the settings used in the functional hood vents thread. Take a look to see what I mean.
