Long time all American vehicle owner... currently own a Dodge Ram 1500 and a Chevy Camaro Z-28... to this string of gas guzzlers I just added a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, which I nicknamed "Velo-T"... When making my decision to purchase my first sub compact due to the current gas situation I researched the various sport compact entries including the the Mini-Cooper, Dodge Dart, Scion FRS, Ford Focus ST, Fiat 500 Abarth, and Mazda 3 speed for a year. I finally settled on the Huyndai Veloster Turbo and Scion FRS. The idiots at Scion pissed me off to the point of frustration over their "addendums" to the tune of $5k more to as high as $10k over list basically just because. I gave up on that and happily bought the Veloster Turbo. I now have a:
Black Veloster Turbo, M/T... I'm graphic designer and photographer so I'm designing some graphics to customize the look and I got a short list of tuner mods... Short because if I want speed I drive the Z... The Velo-T is to get me through my day without embarrassment on one fill-up a week.

Welcome! My first two new vehicles were also American (Dodge). This is my 3rd new vehicle and it's a matte gray VT. I love it so far. Miss the memories in my Charger R/T, but excited that I have speed when I need it and won't be filling up as much. Plus, it's a head turner already!

My Dodge is a beast in every way... I once crushed a Highlander when I under estimated the distance between me and it as I parked... not a scratch on my Ram. Some punk in a Honda Civic decided to challenge me on the highway one time... he blew a gasket trying to keep up... but damn that sucker can devour a tank of gas...<VwwV> As far as graphics... just see below.

Yup, I play Forza, I like racing but being a designer it's the livery part that gets all my interest.

Are you going to custom plate it to so that your license plate says VELO-T? Or is that already taken?

Depending on how much you drive, you still might have to fill up almost every week. I had a Corolla that I had to fill up every 7-8 days on 10-11 gallons. 335 miles. Tank was 13.2, but going low on fuel isn't good for the fuel pump...and I didn't want to get stranded somewhere by trying to push the limit. The needle also dropped like flies when it was on the E half of the gauge. I could go 200-220 on the F half, and only 100 on the E half.

I got the quote back from the vinyl graphics people and that is going to have to wait... I got other things I'd like to spend $700 on at the moment. I did find a really cool place to get the Autobot emblems though. Those are on order. I'll post images once I install them. As far as the custom plate, it's available, just gotta talk the wife into it. I'm working on getting her to say yes on the Paratrooper tag... that shouldn't be too hard. Now, the VELO-T we'll have to see.
