What is so special about the SR?
Is that just the name they call it in Canada, or do they have something my non-SR doesn't???

P.s. I live in US

I believe it is ONLY for the Australian market that it is called SR. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Not sure if it stands for anything, after all, it also says Turbo on the back of their cars as well.

I'm from Canada eh, and it's not called an SR in my neck of the woods.

Just "2013 Veloster Turbo"
We don't even have trim levels...

Our choices are:
Matte or Regular paint.
AT or MT.

Lucky! The trim with the satnav and sunroof was 31k!!!! I got mine for 22k without the sunroof and nav.

Not too worried because I plan to put my roof rack on with a basket for the summer and snowboard stuff for the winter :D

Yup, and did you see their headlights? No STUPID orange reflector, theirs are white. Awesomeness!
Yeah, THAT I do want.

I might send mine over to exLED to get done up though

We don't get BlueLink or any of that fun stuff though.

The only thing I use with bluelink is the remote start from iphone, other than that its all cool for the first bit and then gets old fast :p

-31K?!? What? I got Ultimate package Elite White and paid total of $27,454 or something close to that.
-Nor sure if I'll ever use the Bluelink feature....
-I'm also VERY tempted to buy a set of KDM headlights from exLED, just wish they were a "bit" cheaper, like say 10% off ;)

The dealer I went to was not negotiating on the price of the Ultimate because they had only had it on the lot for 2 hours, and they ended up selling it same day for 30k :p but even still I'd rather dump the sunroof if it means 5k diff!

Yup, Sr is only for us Aussies :). Same car but only 1 spec level with all the trimmings.
the Hyundai Australia engineers did upgrade the suspension and steering from the rest of the world though. And yes, the extra badges do look cool :)

Manufactured and shipped from Korea, yes. The Australian one has the suspension and steering re engineered though. Yes it comes out of the same factory, but built using slightly different parts in those areas. Some of our roads can be pretty harsh though so I don't feel the standard setup from Korea and the USA would have lasted the test of time over here (being that we have a 5yr unlimited km warranty).

From what I read SR simply means its tuned for your country. Veloster Turbo in general has its own tuned suspension for our roads, there really isn't anything special between both SPECS. Suspension is literally suspension and I'll end up getting coilovers anyways.
