was gonna do a bi-xenon projector retrofit but wont work...

It is 3 bolt mount vs usual 4 and metal mount/shroud is too small for bi-xenon shutter component to go in(it appears)

I may just modify the shade for light output improvement

I'll be tinkering...

Sigh

And BTW, stock LED rings and aftermarket corner blinkers are for grabs(exLED) turn signal module not included

I'm interested in just a brighter stock lamp and don't want a bluer color.

The VT has a pretty sharp cutoff at the top of the headlight throw so it seems to me that you can up the intensity quite a bit without disturbing oncoming traffic.

Of course I want a way to override the fog lamp control so I can run them without the main headlights being on. Even better, I'd like some fog lights that are yellow-ish and really lit up 180 degrees in front of the car.

if you want a brighter light get hids but stay at 4300k thats stock color, hell I'm going to be installing 3700k and can post up pictures... having fogs on all the time is a bad idea.. too much foreground lighting hinders your ability to see far when you have your high beams on

to the OP is there any way you could show what the headlight looks like without the stock shroud in place.. I'd definitely be interested in putting a new shroud on if I take the headlight apart to tweak the shield and such
the shroud also acts as a mount for the projectors...unless u mean the plastic piece that has LED ring on it

I am really curious if there is a way to increase LED brightness on headlights.

oh no without that black piece, it would show bare metal mounting bracket which wouldn't be pretty

My Rings/ExLED corner lamps are for sale - $40 shipped (one ring does not work...need professional soldering job :)

factory circuit board contains all the resistors to make the LED the way they are now...if someone who was electrically inclined, they probably can remove/replace the resistors to make the LEDs little brighter...unfortunately i am not lol

I had to modify the headlight to accept the bi-xenon projectors... not pretty as the front chrome ring had to be removed

I am waiting for the resistor for LED signal to come in so I don't have hyper blinking issue.

other wise, going well :)

took out stock projector and installed bi-xenon projectors.

They are screwed on to the "ring" part.

They shine kinda low...but the way it is mounted, it is non adjustable. In the city, no issue...in the boonies, dual high beam :)

-E46 bi-xenon projectors
-removed "rings"
-removed silver shroud
-exLED eyeline and corner lamp With turn signal module
-resistors for preventing hyper blinking
-bezels painted black
-upper corner lamp delete

Low beam
Low+fogs
Low+high+bi-xenon high
