Hey guys, I've had my 2013 VT since 2016 and my warranty is about to expire.
I was wondering if you guys knew of parts that are usually in warranty, but that fail often.
I'm going to the garage this week.

So far I know I'm changing my clock spring and rear window motor.

If you guys had parts fail that would usually be covered by a warranty, please let me know!

Which warranty? Hyundai's 10-year/100K warranty only applies for the first owner, subsequent owners get a 5 year/60K warranty, so you're very likely already going to be paying out of pocket for any repairs.

3rd party warranty! I had my tie rods done last year through it.
I got their "supreme" package that includes pretty much everything including infotainment system. except normal wear and tear and wiring. My warranty covers me to 200k/feb 5th 2023.

Oh niiiiice! Windshield washer pump & rear hatch mechanism are pretty common failures, as is the driver side window regulator. Maybe the door speakers too, since (assuming you're still on OEM speakers) the dust caps on them seem to pop off pretty regularly for people.

Windshield washer pump added to the list. I sometimes feel like its intermittent, so I blame it on it being empty most of the time without actually checking.

Rear hatch mechanism was replaced back in 2020 when it broke.

Are driver/passenger windows supposed to go down at the same speed ? And would that be a regulator issue ?

For speakers, yes. One of mine popped a while ago. I'll look at them again to see if its worth fixing. Is the sub prone to pop ?

Thanks a lot for your input! If anyone see's this, please drop some more common failures!

Hmmm I've never timed mine when lowering - I just know that since the driver window is bigger and heavier than the other two, the regulator tends to go out on them - that's usually more evident in rolling it back up than when lowering it, though.
Speakers: not sure, I replaced all mine including the sub with aftermarket, but the OEM sub that I took out sure looked fine. If yours is still working, it'll probably keep working for a good while - the sub was -in spite of being very light with a bloody tiny magnet- actually built pretty decently.
