whats the advantage again.....does not wear out as often?

usally with the belt , they stretch more , then need to be replace about every100000kms or 60000 miles, if not they can slip a tooth or 2 and then your timing goes out the window , car might not even start
chains are a little noisier than a belt , but are far more robust

Wow, this is good to know, I'm thrilled it's a chain, as stated above, it might be a bit louder, but it's not a maintanence item like a belt is, and having replaced the belt twice on my CRX-Si twice, the costs do add up because typically you replace the water pump at the same time because of labor cost, and they are already there.

This thread is over 7 years old and the guy he quoted hasn’t been here in over 5.5 years.

Nice bump for awareness but again, we don’t support NAVs here. Go to veloster.org and try there.
