Ordered some bulbs (h11b) from autolumination and got them today, fast shipping I might add. Anyway, took bumper off, changed driver side bulb tested it and it worked. Changed passenger side bulb tested and they both worked. Reinstalled bumper checked if the lights were working and driver side didn't light up :( passenger side was fine. Took bumper back off took driver side bulb back out and it smelled like rotten eggs. The bulb would turn but would not come out of housing (had to get pliers).
The base of the bulb looked like it melted. :(
I emailed them and hopefully they will send me some new ones.

Has anybody had this happen? Ive had several different aftermarket bulbs and hid kits and never saw this before.

I currently have the 6k version of these bulbs without any problems. Sorry to hear that you weren't so fortunate.

Stone Axe, don't expect an upgrade in light output. I just wanted to change the color of the light. The light output is the same as stock.

I have same exact bulbs and mine are going on two months with no issues, so I think it would be safe to say you just had a defective bulb and the next set will be A-OK. Btw my hands must be tiny bc I can change mine without any bumper removal. I only charge $5 per bulb. Lol jk good luck!

Did you get the 55w or 100w bulbs? The higher wattage may have burned up. Anyway, autolumination bulbs are terrible and not anywhere close to being usable as actual headlights.

Looks like the contacts were touching inside the bulb housing. Defective im sure. They should send you another. You know you dont have to pull the bumper to do normal bulbs right?
Thats what I thought too.
to be honest I didnt even try to do the bulbs without removing the bumper. Just from the looks of it I dont think my hands could take the bulbs out, but I will try next time though.

BTW GT800, I love this line in ur sig: A long list of mods including a blower double the size of the velosters motor. f-ing hilarious!!
