I took my VT ultimate in for a repair this week and have a 2013 chevy Malibu for a rental right now, and I have to say that I'm impressed. While the entertainment system has about the same features as the VT and they're both windows ce units, the Chevy unit does things better than the Hyundai solution and has a much slicker look and feel, oh and Pandora works with android phones. Also, the bt call quality is much better.. If Hyundai gives a crap, they better be working their ass off with the hardware provider to provide a serious overhall to the UI and functionality.

I was also wondering about that when he said he couldn't stream Pandora through his android. well I'm glad someone confirmed it can be done.

to the op, there might be an option where is says allow streaming audio. that's what I had to do on the sonata.

what's the msrp for the Malibu compared to the vt?

Prices are.about the same.

Meanwhile the others are being pedantic about the issue with the VT's pandora system integration, and responding in stereotypical forum style with "it must be something wrong with -your- car" responses. I'm sure the rest of us would love to hear how you guys got Pandora integration working with android. Oh wait. You didn't. Or the fact that the BT audio streaming only shows the song title, and it doesn't show artist, album, or cover. Plus people on the other side of the phone hear just about ever bit of road noise because the system doesn't have any noise reduction, while the maximum call volume in the car is too low. And lets not forget that just about everyone says the dimension speakers suck.I paid the premium. I expect better

it's a forum, unfortunately don't expect everyone to be nice. especially when you say your personal opinion about another being better than the vt lol I'm not saying these guys/girls got booty hurt, but people do. I'm surprised nobody said something along the lines of "if you like the Malibu so much than trade your vt" lol but don't take things to heart. it's the internet.

if you go through your settings there should be an option to allow audio streaming through your phone. when you get your vt back go through the option. when my wife and I got her sonata limited, it came with a similar head unit like the vt. and let me tell you, there's a lot of options and it's hard to find everything of your not use to it. if you haven't found it by the time I get I can go through the the sonatas to help you out, I'll see if it can find it on the sonata and let you know something

hope this helped.

I know. It's funny since all I'm doing is talking about the sound system, which, last time I checked, has received all kinds of criticisms. Now that I've had more than a test drive's time with another system, I can easily point out the issues with the Hyundai system, and I want Hyundai to step up its game when the competition has something better at the same price point.

I can stream audio from my android phone, that's not a problem. The VT system doesn't support Pandora on android right now. Funny how the others know this but tried to gloss over it. And the music streaming is limited compared to other solutions. If I could replace the stock system with an after market head unit and have all the car integrated features, I would. Hell, if I could install the chevy system, I would. ;)

I have a Razr Maxx running Jellybean and whatever the car came with in August 12 And have no issue streaming bluetooth Pandora or Google music stored on my phone. I'm not some crazy fanboy but don't say it doesn't work when obviously it does.

Hyundai is switching to android for their systems. I posted a link somewhere in a thread.
