Probably 12 second pass in July some time but plan to make some 1/8 mile passes before that. Looking for 8.4's or quicker to be able to do that.

Installed the DGR coilovers and some temporary tires/wheels on the 13 VT manual in prep for the trip to KDM tuners for the big power build. Also put the drag setup beside the car for a teaser. I did test fit and it looks great fit wise on the car.

Took the car out for some iat testing with a new product I made a while back that I've kept hush hush. Took a 10 mile drive using cruise control at 50 mph and 60 mph with this item while still on the OEM intercooler and NOT using the water injection at all. Results speak for themselves. IAT are from ambient to +5°F over ambient regardless of the two speeds.

Then I repeated the same exact drive with the water injection on and only have a 90 cc/min nozzle in the TB spacer using distilled water only. This is 1/2-2/3 the nozzle size needed for water only with the given tune in my car but wanted to see what it would do. Not the typical 40°F drop of the proper size nozzle but 27°F-32°F iat drop is not bad for such a small nozzle.

Also broke in the new street tires and made a few pulls on a back road to check out the acceleration and traction on the new setup. Happy to say I made a few 12.6-12.9 1/4 runs on the torque app and via stopwatch with a tune closer to max power I feel safe taking the car as-is. 7/18 is looking like my next official 1/4 date but will try to get some 1/8 mile runs under my belt beforehand.

30.6°F below ambient at best and 19.8°F below ambient on avg for 30 minute drive at 60 mph is just stupid good with the OEM intercooler in place along with new cold pipe, custom intercooler shroud, and water injection single 135 cc/min nozzle.

I'd say 50/50 water/meth mix on the same setup with controller setting changes works a little better. Wonder if there will be a blizzard in the intake manifold using 100% methanol with the proper nozzle size.......... :cool:

Got CF Seibon Hood and Hatch delivered today. Off to get lexan windows in the hatch soon. Once that's done both the 13 and 15 VT are going to the body shop to get some much needed TLC. Then the 13 will be going to KDM Tuners for the heart transplant.

Hopefully your hood fits better than mine did. It felt like a cheap piece of paper compared to the carbon stuff on my old mitsu.

Took the 15 auto VT for a short 13-14 mile drive with OEM intercooler and the water/meth injection kit on using 50/50 mix after heat soaking the car some. Pretty amazing how quickly IAT drop and how low it stays at highway speed when setup properly.

Got quote from body shop to get both VT in top shape. Color matched a curt tow hitch for the VT. Looking to get a small enclosed trailer to tow things to events/track with now.

Had this direct replacement prototype FMIC made for the 17+ Elantra Sport, 18+ Elantra GT, and 19+ Veloster Turbo.

Core is made by Bell Intercooler and is 71%+ larger than the OEM intercooler core meaning much more flow and cooling ability. The core also has a lip on the front perimeter to force air through the core first superior cooling with the thicker core. IAT should stay within a few degrees of ambient in most conditions unlike other FMIC I've dataloged.

The inlet/outlet are still 2" outside diameter on the hand made tanks but the inside diameter has at minimal 10%+ more flow from the thin wall tubing not counting where the OEM intercooler is choked down inside of the end tanks.

Also notice the intercooler adds 7.8 lbs to the car which is minimal but this is mostly core weight to dissipate the heat from the charge air. This along with the hot pipe I have for the car I'm sure will show decent power gains and another pound or so less weight on the car.

How many may be interested in one of these setups? :)

Oh just great, now I'm thinking of more mods I want to do to on my wife's 2019 Rspec. I'm still modding my 2015 Rspec, there goes my car budget.

Custom it will be but what I'm seeing with what you're showing there is something that will probably work with my setup.
It wouldn't be installed like the VT. 😉
All good. I've got plenty of time but getting ideas on things for the build. Nobody ever said it would be easy. 👍😎

Took a ~240 mile drive this morning in the 15 auto VT mostly highway and avg 29 mpg hand calculated on E85. Hurt a few feelings along the trip but not my wallet at the end when I filled the car and 5 fuel containers up. $2.10/gallon for E85 I can make more power on and much safer beats the socks off of $2.73/gallon for 93.

What @trdtoy was saying is I'm doing all this to a 2015 Hyundai Accent. So my car won't be set up as the Veloster. They're close but not the same but I don't mind fabricating to make things work for this project.
I do like his intercooler and can probably fab it up to what I have on the car as it is.
Btw my hair is already grey so no worries there. 😂😉🤷🏼‍♂️
