Not a bad day at Import Face-off Rockingham yesterday. Conditions were not great for ET or mph due to 15 mph headwind and air density % in the lower 90's. Did not launch the car hard, it cut throttle all 4 shifts, and still on the daily driver tune! Couldn't tune the car at the track due to the laptop not cooperating. :-(

Still managed to set new records for the Veloster Turbo community! The 2015 auto Veloster turbo still on the oem turbo, oem engine, oem intercooler! E85 fuel and running 50/50 water/meth mix on a 135 cc/min nozzle.

Swapped to a light battery and removed some other things for a little more weight loss.

Just added 4-9% more power into the tune in the upper rpm where it stays during a pass. So it should be 280+ whp now!

Also swapped to a better cold pipe with the oem intercooler, and put the proper nozzle in the car for methanol injection.

Now to get the bracket made for the kirkey racing seat to go in the car and get the lexan in the CF hatch to go on the car.

Yes, two antigravity batteries!
Dimensions were good for the oem battery holder, light weight, more capacity, crank amps, and charge amps than a single, good price.

You may be excited and I'm a little anxious about it lol!

Just over 4 lbs, 720 CCA, 20 A max charging. Battery sat 6+ months without charging and fired the car right up whereas the new lead acid in the car was dead as a doornail.

Weight looks good and not a bad corner balance too.
Were you in the car when on the scales? Just curious.
Going to remove some more weight, move some weight around, then adjust the suspension to even things out. All I care about is that I have the most weight over the front tires and that its even or close to it on both front tires. This was with me in the car.

My car was not 3,160 lbs with me in it off the showroom floor..... :)

The 15 auto pictured should be right at 2,600 lbs with me in it once I install the kirkey seat and the CF hatch with lexan in place of the glass. Then I'll play with the suspension to even things out like I want.

My car was not 3,160 lbs with me in it off the showroom floor..... :)

The 15 auto pictured should be right at 2,600 lbs with me in it once I install the kirkey seat and the CF hatch with lexan in place of the glass. Then I'll play with the suspension to even things out like I want.
As much as I admire stripped out cars. I definitely want to see how quick I can get full weight.

180 miles, E85, $2.589/gallon, 29+ mpg. Not too bad.....

Working on gen 1 VT and 1.6T go fast parts. Some things I will be able to share soon and some things will have to wait. But I can say I'm working on crank pulley, water pump pulley, intake manifold, upgraded intercooler, and larger throttle bodies such as the 64 mm I've been doing and a new 80 mm TB.

Not bad for a Veloster Turbo going up hill, spinning, and cutting throttle on the shifts! Blew a charge pipe off so a lower 0-60 will have to be another day! ;-)
