Hey guys,

In the process of sanding and painting multiple emblems on my VT, Just wanted to make this thread in case anyone else wanted to do the same I have some tips and things you should know.

First:

The Hyundai logo leaves holes in your trunk, so either tape it off or plan to do this mod on a dry couple of days.

Second, When painting chrome; You need to prep this stuff correctly. Sand sand sand sand sand and use adhesion promoter!

Well The full thing isn't done but here are some pics of what I've got so far.

I used a coat hanger with clips to hold on to one of the posts in the emblem.

Oh, and to remove this emblem, dental floss isn't going to be easy. I'd suggest using a credit card or membership card of some sort.

I'm honestly going to be re-doing it because something happened with the paint overnight and it didn't cure right...

It looks good for now though

I used white automotive paint on the emblem so it was glossy like the car.

but they have plasti dip in all colors!

I tired white on the refelctor holders

Thanks ! The plasti dip doesn't match the paint close enough so I'll probably pull it off but it gives me inspiration to make a replacement part to rid the bumper of the reflectors and the reflector housings
