Who wants a handheld tuner for the VT????

Hey everyone, as many of you already probably know I am trying to get Diablosport on board with providing us an actual handheld tuner. Although a flash is great, we know what a hassle it can be to keep sending your ECU to be flashed each time you have add a specific mod. With that said, I want to let you all know that I have started a thread on Diablosport's website requesting the tuner. Here is the link:

Diablosport Forums ? View topic - 2013 Hyundai VT (Veloster Turbo)

Please navigate to the link and sign up to become a forum member. It only take a couple of minute if that. What they need to see is that we are truly interested. I was able to do the same for the V6 LX's and have referenced a link to that original thread in the Diablosport forum for you all to see.

Also, Diablosport has reached out to the GenCoupe community:

http://www.gencoupe.com/engine/119643-any-interest-handheld-tuner-vote-now.html

With a hand held tuner we will have complete control of our vehicles in the palms of our hands. If you are really interested, please take the time to sign up and post on the link above. Make sure to copy the most recent list of names and just add yours to the bottom of it. Try signing up with the same handle you use here to know who is who.

Here is the direct link to register onto their site.

Thanks!!!!

They are moving forward pretty quickly with the handheld module for the Genesis and the owners community has been very positive and helpful towards DS. I know a few domestic guys with the DS modules and they all love it. Great company and a fantastic set of devices they have. Ive been holding off on a new tune for my Genesis just because Im waiting to see what DS can come up with.

BUT, in order for them to even start looking into a VT module, they will probably need two things which none of us will be willing to part with.

Still a great idea and I will sign the list.

An AT and an MT ECU they can have. The Genesis owners donated several, but I dont think they will be in usable condition to give back.

Ok, thought I was the only one.
Some how it says my email is already on file.
When I pick a different email account It States that the email doesn't match
I'll contact DS and see if they can provide some support. However, already got a response from Mikel at DS.

"Maybe

We're actually pretty close to moving into GenCoupe development currently:
Genesis Forum: GenCoupe Hyundai Genesis Forums - Your Hyundai Genesis Coupe Community ... tuner.html"

Actually, the way it worked the last time around, thye kept my car for about 2-3 days and provided me with a pick up truck as a loaner. (Which was awesom on their part). Once they were done with R&D, I went back over and picked up my newly tuned car.
I had a custom diablo sport tune done on my trailblazer SS by Lew and he did a great job with it. That was back when the predators where $150 and another $100 or so for his custom tune...not sure i would pay the $ that their new products cost for something that could only be used in one car though....especially when I could have a professional do a custom tune for the same amount of $
Where is the link to even register ...?
We are Diablo Sport CMR tuners so if they go this route... we will be very happy!!! I have already bugged them about the VT but they have a lot of other projects on the table right now but everyone keep bugging them!

Click the link in first post, then the Diablo symbol on top, it takes you to home page. On top of the home page it says login, and register.
Took me a min to as I was searching for how to register while on their forum page

Ok, so he can do a custom tune for the same price but how about the next time you decide to add a big mod? Is he going to do it for free? Not only is this for tunes but it also gives you the ability to see and remove codes. I know that our cars currently do that but isn't that through Blue Link? Also, if they allowed it to be open for more than one vehicle, how would they make their money? Lastly, with a handheld tuner you can always set it back to stock for trips to the dealer...

I have added the direct link to register above. Sorry about that guys.
Fwiw: I had one retune inside of a calendar year....

I can clear codes with my tablet.....and fwiw, They could make their $ by selling credits for each car to be used on said tuner similar to hp tuners......and fwiw: restoring a stock tune is pointless as a dealer can see it has been flashed and reflashed....

So you are basing it off of that? If you want to spend a few hundred bucks on a tune every year then be my guest.

If you feel the need to bring your tablet along each timne you nee3d to clear a code rather than having a handheld tuner in your glove compartment or a Trinity which is mounted for easy access, again, be my guest. :)

And if they were to sell credits, wouldn't that allow individual people to charge a bit more on top of it for extra cash? And so for the perons getting the tune from you, all they end up getting is a flash and will not be able to make adjustments. Not a fair deal for them. Lastly, the main reason I am saying this is because it is best to take your car with the stock flash in case they go ahead and flassh it with updates.

What else you got?

I Don't need anything else? Just like any disagreement, you can choose to be one side and I can be on another......
I still can't register... Ugh hate this
Can you tell me please what exactly is the issue so that I can relay it to them? What error message are you getting?

BTW, Mikel from DS responded to the thread confirming that we are Direct Injected. Progress people, progress.
