I know there have a been a couple threads on here about tinting the VT windows, but none really talk about pricing..

I went into a tinting place today looking to get tints all around and the guys quoted me $240.. good deal or no?

Also, has anyone gotten dark in the back (5-35) and lighter (50%) in the front? I'm wondering if the difference would look bad and if I should go the same tint all around or not.

Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't necessarily say that, I know ir varies a LOT depending on your location, i know people that consider $300 a good deal...

Good luck with the tint on the roof ,seriously. It's probably helpful but I personally don't have the sack to do that.

Paid $150 for my shop to put 20% on the back and 30% on the front... but got pulled over for the fronts so I had to remove them. They're going to put 50% on the fronts for free & hopefully I won't get pulled over for that. Love Bay Area cops...

I'm not following on that :/ sorry.
The film on the overhead is mostly to block the UV/heat so I can drive with the shade back (vented) and not get cooked by the sun. They wanted to put the clear 3M on the overhead just to block UV; but I asked for just a hint of tint to cut down on light coming in. If I want the sun ill just open it all the way

The warranty is what worries me. I see so many older cars with that purple looking and bubbly window tinting. It seems like a nightmare to remove it.

Who honors the warranty when the tint goes bad?

I believe the way they do it anymore the tint wont purple but i may Be mistaken. Any legitamate tint place should cover you if you have an issue. Just make sure you get it in writing.

Ceramic tint won't turn purple. And a good tint place will stand by their work. My shop has replaced tint after 10 years on some people's cars.

haha yep, i'm in the Bay too... so I think I've decided to go with the real dark tint in the back and the darkest legal tint possible in the front.

after seeing toshko321's ride... it still looks pretty good

70% is legal in CA for the front. Rear is any %
