So when I purchased my Veloster on 5-30-13 it was night time before I was able to drive it off the lot so this is probably the reason I didn't notice the issue right away. I recently have noticed there are multiple little scratches in the windshield and one really long one that looks at though it was caused by someone running the windshield wipers without any kind of lubrication.

I haven't had a chance to look at my warranty yet regarding this issue but I thought I would ask the community what they would do and if you guys think that this would be covered under warranty. I have less than 1k miles on my car so far if that matters.

You bought the car less than two weeks ago.

Won't hurt to call your sales rep and talk to him about it.

Tell him you hadn't noticed because you were at a disadvantage taking it home so late. Tell him you know for a fact you didn't do it.

There are 3 ways to approach this.

First is that the car is so new and the dealer should cover this as a new car.

Second is that the VT comes with a 1 year / 12,000 everything warranty and you need it covered.

Third, the marks are probably just in the "wax" coat and were caused by test drives and dry wipers. It happens. Get yourself a decent glass cleaning product, a good cloth and some Rain-X and deal with your windshield - and go on with your life.

Thanks for this suggestion Stone I might try this before contacting my dealer. I didn't know that there was a "wax" coat on the windshield.
