This past weekend I went to an Xpel certified installer and we put a sample of the stealth film on the matte VT and it looked flawless. I wish I had taken a pic but I was more interested in how it looked. Instead of the clear film for protection this stealth matte film is a viable alternative, although it will be more expensive.

The only issue is that Xpel does not yet have a template for the VT in order to have the pieces cut. I am going back this Saturday and will try and get another sample put on with pics.

Here is the product: Matte Paint Protection Film - XPEL Stealth Protection Film

wont the film cost upwards of a thousand+ dollars just to get it 'printed' and installed on a paint you already paid 1000$ extra for o_O

It's not a vinyl film to just change appearance. It's like the 3M clear bra, it protects against rock chips and damage, but doesn't alter the appearance of the matte finish. The clear bra would add a glossy look.

i understand what it does but how much of the car are you planning on covering? just the front end? hood, bumper, fenders? I would think that would even cost ~500+ easily..

some people talked of covering the whole car to prevent chips and such.
