Interesting!!! Remix wheels are still better, but these chrome wheels are better than the Stock VT wheels...IMO

These wheels would look badazz on Reapers ride :cool2:

Exactly...These wheels fit our cars better. They look more tuner-ish...IMO

Not sure about the chrome, but on a Black VT it must look cool.

They look like flowers :)

...and heavy chrome wheels on an already anemically slow car flat out silly, IMHO of course.

...but there must have been some demand for the model for it to make it to market.

I'm still glad that NAV buyers have another option. Some people are just looking for a fun economical car, so having leather seats and some chrome might appeal to several folks!! Consumers love options!! And, is that the new while they were referring to? I don't know that I like it as much as the Elite White. Need moar close-up shots!

They use the same hood vents, but they're chrome.

at least the remix had a ground effects kit on it. was it not a success for them not to at least do what was on the remix?

and all that chrome..... sigh

I was saying remixV2... but without the ground effects kit. I can't claim winning the call!

wow.. such amazing news...

How about a Veloster turbo.. with fully chrome wheels next....

Speaking of disappointed..

I was VERY disappointed when they came out with the R-spec and used the same wheels as the turbo.

The NA version now has 5 different wheels ? base, tech, style, remix, reflex... and the turbo has the same wheels on both models, WTF?

Sooooooooo Not Impressed!! lol

+1 Hyundai needs to step it up if they want to impress people cause damn they failed

How can u put chrome accent, left over red leather from last years "remix" and call that a new edition Lol.

The big thing once again for them is price point. The news piece said starting at 17,000. So nothing but aesthetics,.....not surprising though. Corporate has an idea of the niche the Veloster occupies. I'm sure its completely different than ours. This new "Reflex", definitely a chick car, a visually refined "Remix", nothing more.

Remember gals/guys, this car is probably intended for someone who walks into the showroom and sees a fancy and shiny looking new car. Lots of people just want a car that looks kinda cool/different and some fancy tech or luxo features. They could car less about handling and performance.

I work with a few older guys whos favourite mods are Pep-Buys chrome accessories, wheels, fake scoops, stripes, etc. Guy down the street from me has a really nice Challenger SRT8, but its got ugly chrome wheels and what look like DIY hoodstripes.

Hyundai will prob sell more of these then the R-Spec. Different strokes for different folks.

I'll take the illuminated door sills though - I know others exist, but these look better to me.

most people arent looking for performance or handling. my mom for instance, she had a Prelude in the late 90's and asked me why her car sounded funny when she was getting on the freeway. she said it sounds like its gonna blow up. it was really her hitting vtec on the freeway on ramp, but she thought the car was messed up. that is how most people that buy cars think. we are the minority, the 1%

mitsubishi used to put chrome wheels on 3000gt's. nissan did it with 240s 300s 350s and 370zs

Why couldn't they KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)?!

They could have put some basic tuner style wheels like the Speed, Evo & STI have, but Nooooooooo. They opted to go with Chinese Star looking wheels #facepalm

I actually like it. I wouldn't buy one for myself, but if my daughter or wife wanted it, I wouldn't be embarrassed to have it in the driveway. About time NAV owners had some decent leather as an option.
The chrome does look nice on it, but I'm done with chrome for now. I prefer either a monochrome or blacked out gaping maw, wheels, and accessories. I love just about everything about the VT's looks, aside from the rims. I really do hate those. The look like they were originally designed for one of Barbie's toy cars.

You know... I'd like to see an "Urban-Mix" VT. It would arrive at the dealership without wheels and sitting on cinder blocks.
Then we'd just supply our own and go on our merry way in style!

I personally don't think the chrome is too much. I wouldn't put chrome on my door handles, but I think they did it tastefully. For what it is it looks good, would I buy it no I am a car enthusiast. I do think it will sell really well, the people that are buying this car grew up in the days that cars were chromed out. They will like this little splash of chrome.

I'll be honest, it was the Re:MIX that got me to buy my VT. Saw a blue one outside our movie theater one night, told my wife I was gonna buy it. Next day, I bought mine, but definately wanted the Turbo upgrade. As far as I know, I have the only Vit-C VT in Nashville :)
